January 7, 2023: Allentown, PA 18104 Louis E. Dieruff Huskies (Allentown, PA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host William Allen Canaries (Allentown, PA), 26-21 in a league bout.
With the victory, Louis E. Dieruff upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Freedom (Bethlehem, PA) to play the Patriots in a Eastern Pennsylvania - Steel bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 0-9. Freedom lost 64-32 in their recent league bout against Easton Area (Easton, PA)
Next up, the Canaries play the Pocono Mountain West Panthers (Pocono Summit, PA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. William Allen will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 41-38 non-league win over Emmaus (Emmaus, PA).
