Maine High School Basketball - Mount Desert Island overwhelms Winslow
January 7, 2023: Winslow, ME 04901 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME) and the host Winslow Black Raiders (Winslow, ME), saw Mount Desert Island's basketball squad wallop Winslow by a count of 71-28.
With the victory, Mount Desert Island upgrades its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Orono (Orono, ME) to play the Riots in a B North challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Riots come into the challenge with a record of 0-8. Orono lost 76-37 in their recent league challenge against Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME)
Next up, the Black Raiders play the Belfast Lions (Belfast, ME) in a B North challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Winslow will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 51-30 league win over Bucksport (Bucksport, ME).
