Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Trinity holds off Union Area
January 7, 2023: Washington, PA 15301 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Trinity Hillers (Washington, PA) and the visiting Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA), saw Trinity's basketball squad hold off Union Area by a tally of 49-42.
With the victory, Trinity improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Hillers travel to West Allegheny (Imperial, PA) to confront the Indians in a WPIAL 5A 4 challenge on Monday, January 9. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 3-6.
Next up, the Scotties confront the Sharpsville Blue Devils (Sharpsville, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 9. Union Area will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 51-47 non-league loss to Grove City (Grove City, PA).
