Next, the Cowboys face the Weslaco East Wildcats (Weslaco, TX) in a 5A Region 4 District 32 contest, on Friday, January 13. Porter will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the contest with a 1-0 record after their 1-1 non-league Donna (Donna, TX).
The Wolverines now have a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Zapata for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 10. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial will face a Hawks team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Santa Maria (Santa Maria, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 2-4.
