January 7, 2025: Dallardsville, TX 77332 Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls (Anderson, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Big Sandy Wildcats (Dallardsville, TX), 51-50 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Anderson-Shiro upgrades its record to 13-6 on the year. The Fighting Owls travel to Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX) to face the Trojans in a 3A Region III District 23 match on Friday, January 10. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 7-15. Coldspring-Oakhurst lost 61-44 in their recent non-league match against Navasota (Navasota, TX)
The Wildcats now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Hardin for a 2A Region IV District 25 match on Friday, January 10.
