California High School Basketball - Beckman can't hold off Foothill
January 7, 2025: Irvine, CA 92602 Foothill Knights (Santa Ana, CA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Beckman Patriots (Irvine, CA), 69-65 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Foothill advances its record to 13-6 on the year. The Knights host Crean Lutheran (Irvine, CA) to face the Saints in a Crestview match on Friday, January 10. The Saints enter the match with a record of 6-9. Crean Lutheran lost 56-55 in their recent league match against La Habra (La Habra, CA)
The Patriots now own a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Capistrano Valley for a non-league match on Friday, January 10. Beckman will face a Cougars squad coming off a 41-33 non-league loss to Mission Viejo (Mission Viejo, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 15-4.
