Texas High School Basketball - East Bernard triumphant over Waelder
January 7, 2025: East Bernard, TX 77435 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the East Bernard Brahmas (East Bernard, TX) and the visiting Waelder Wildcats (Waelder, TX), observed East Bernard's basketball team overwhelm Waelder by a score of 52-29.
The Brahmas (8-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Hempstead (Hempstead, TX). The Bobcats come into the 3A Region III District 24 challenge with a 2-10 record. In their last challenge, Hempstead was routed by Anderson-Shiro (Anderson, TX), 46-38, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Prairie Lea Indians (Prairie Lea, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 30 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Waelder will attempt to improve on its 1-15 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 71-37 non-league loss to Valor South Austin (Austin, TX).
