January 7, 2025: Ramona, SD 57054 Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Oldham-Ramona/Rutland Rutland (Ramona, SD), 68-50 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Freeman Academy/Marion advances its record to 1-4 on the year. The travel to Avon (Avon, SD) to face the Pirates in a B Region 4 match on Tuesday, January 14. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 1-6. Avon lost 71-47 in their recent non-league match against Ethan (Ethan, SD)
The Rutland now own a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Colman-Egan for a non-league match on Friday, January 10. Oldham-Ramona/Rutland will face a C-E Hawks squad coming off a 81-31 non-league win over Mitchell Christian (Mitchell, SD). The C-E Hawks record now stands at 2-3.
