Illinois High School Basketball - Lockport triumphant over Stagg
January 7, 2025: Palos Hills, IL 60465 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Lockport Porters (Lockport, IL) and the host Stagg Chargers (Palos Hills, IL), observed Lockport's basketball team overwhelm Stagg by a score of 59-24.
The Porters (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Naperville Central (Naperville, IL). The Redhawks come into the non-league challenge with a 7-8 record. In their last challenge, Naperville Central trounced Metea Valley (Aurora, IL), 64-54, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Chargers encounter the Andrew Thunderbolts (Tinley Park, IL) in a SouthWest Suburban challenge, on Friday, January 10. Stagg will attempt to improve on its 0-15 season record. The Thunderbolts come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 57-31 league loss to Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL).
