Texas High School Basketball - Sweetwater overwhelms Monahans
January 7, 2025: Sweetwater, TX 79556 The Sweetwater Mustangs basketball team scored 84 points and limited the visiting Monahans Loboes to 49 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Mustangs now have a 8-10 record. They play next when they host Grape Creek for a 3A Region I District 6 game on Friday, January 10. Sweetwater will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 59-45 league loss to San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy (San Angelo, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 8-13.
The Loboes now own a 1-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenwood for a 4A Region I District 3 match on Friday, January 10. Monahans will meet a Rangers squad coming off a 80-35 non-league loss to Wylie (Abilene, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 9-13.
