The Mira Monte Lions basketball squad (Bakersfield, CA), was crushed 46-18 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Bakersfield Drillers (Bakersfield, CA)

With the victory, Bakersfield advances its record to 8-5 on the year. The Drillers host Highland (Bakersfield, CA) to meet the Scots in a South Yosemite - Valley battle on Thursday, January 9. The Scots enter the battle with a record of 7-7. Highland won 47-24 in their recent non-league battle against South (Bakersfield, CA)

The Lions now own a 2-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Foothill for a South Yosemite - Horizon battle on Wednesday, January 8. Mira Monte will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 54-30 non-league loss to Independence (Bakersfield, CA). The Trojans record now stands at 6-6.
