January 7, 2025: South Wayne, WI 53587 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Black Hawk Warriors (South Wayne, WI) and the visiting Galena Pirates (Galena, IL), observed Black Hawk's basketball team knock off Galena by a score of 49-40.
The Warriors (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Barneveld (Barneveld, WI). The Eagles come into the Six Rivers - East challenge with a 8-3 record. In their last challenge, Barneveld prevailed over River Ridge (Patch Grove, WI), 53-37, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Pirates encounter the Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Galena will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Pretzels come into the challenge with a 13-3 record after their 56-49 league win over Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL).
