Mississippi High School Basketball - East Webster knocks off J.Z. George
January 7, 2025: Maben, MS 39750 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the East Webster Wolverines (Maben, MS) and the visiting J.Z. George Jaguars (North Carrollton, MS), observed East Webster's basketball team overcome J.Z. George by a margin of 54-38.
The Wolverines (10-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Mooreville (Mooreville, MS). The Troopers come into the 3A Region 4 challenge with a 10-7 record. In their last challenge, Mooreville defeated Shannon (Shannon, MS), 55-51, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Jaguars battle the Eupora Eagles (Eupora, MS) in a 2A Region 4 challenge, on Thursday, January 9. J.Z. George will attempt to better on its 3-14 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-16 record after their 59-26 league loss to Union (Union, MS).
