Edward Little Red Eddies (Auburn, ME) fans went home pleased Tuesday as they observed their basketball team overcome the visiting Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME), 54-40 in a non-league challenge.

The Red Eddies (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lewiston (Lewiston, ME). The Blue Devils come into the AA North challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Lewiston dropped by Oxford Hills (South Paris, ME), 51-41, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME) in a AA South challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Thornton Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record.
