Illinois High School Basketball - Montini Catholic holds off Kankakee
January 7, 2025: Lombard, IL 60148 The Montini Catholic Broncos basketball team scored 47 points and limited the visiting Kankakee Kays to 46 in the Broncos non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Broncos now have a 12-5 record. They play next when they host Loyola Academy for a Girls Catholic - Red game on Saturday, January 11. Montini Catholic will confront a Ramblers team coming off a 59-40 league win over DePaul College Prep (Chicago, IL). The Ramblers record now stands at 15-2.
With the loss, Kankakee falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Kays travel to Thornridge (Dolton, IL) to confront the Falcons in a Southland game on Thursday, January 9. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 1-8. Thornridge lost 65-56 in their recent league game against Thornwood (South Holland, IL)
