The Southern Christian Patriots basketball squad (Opelika, AL), was nudged 31-28 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host First Assembly Christian Lions (Ashland, AL)

With the victory, First Assembly Christian advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Lions host Glen Iris Baptist (Birmingham, AL) to meet the Swordsmen in a battle on Friday, January 17. The Swordsmen enter the battle with a record of 4-2.

The Patriots now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ezekiel Academy for a battle on Friday, January 10.
