January 7, 2025: San Jose, CA 95133 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Independence 76ers (San Jose, CA) and the visiting Oak Grove Eagles (San Jose, CA), observed Independence's basketball team overwhelm Oak Grove by a score of 45-23.
The 76ers (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Ann Sobrato (Morgan Hill, CA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 7-6 record. In their last challenge, Ann Sobrato trounced Harbor (Santa Cruz, CA), 62-48, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Piedmont Hills Pirates (San Jose, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Oak Grove will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 65-38 non-league win over Evergreen Valley (San Jose, CA).
