Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Chatham Charter Knights (Siler City, NC), 56-55 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Southwestern Randolph upgrades its record to 4-4 on the year. The Cougars host Uwharrie Charter Academy (Asheboro, NC) to confront the Eagles in a non-league contest on Friday, January 9. The Eagles go into the contest with a record of 5-3.
