Wisconsin High School Basketball - Delavan-Darien knocked off by Columbus
January 8, 2022: Columbus, WI 53925 The Columbus Cardinals basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Delavan-Darien Comets to 48 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cardinals now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Poynette for a Capitol - North contest on Thursday, January 13. Columbus will battle a Pumas team coming off a 79-50 league loss to Luther Prep (Watertown, WI). The Pumas record now stands at 1-10.
The Comets (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Jefferson (Jefferson, WI). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 0-11 record. In their last contest, Jefferson was defeated by Turner (Beloit, WI), 76-43, in a league contest.
