Covington Trojans (Covington, IN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host West Lafayette Red Devils (West Lafayette, IN), 45-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Covington upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Parke Heritage (Rockville, IN) to play the Wolves in a Wabash River bout on Friday, January 14. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 6-5. Parke Heritage lost 46-41 in their recent league bout against South Vermillion (Clinton, IN)

Next up, the Red Devils play the Rensselaer Central Bombers (Rensselaer, IN) in a Hoosier - West bout, on Friday, January 14. West Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Bombers come into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 59-50 league loss to Lafayette Central Catholic (Lafayette, IN).
