Georgia High School Basketball - Monroe Area knocked off by Morgan County
January 8, 2022: Madison, GA 30650 The Morgan County Bulldogs basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Monroe Area Hurricanes to 56 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Academy of Richmond County for a AAA Region 4 contest on Tuesday, January 11. Morgan County will battle a Musketeers team coming off a 71-43 league loss to Hephzibah (Hephzibah, GA). The Musketeers record now stands at 7-7.
The Hurricanes (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Franklin County (Carnesville, GA). The Lions enter the AAA Region 8 contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Franklin County ran past Stephens County (Toccoa, GA), 49-47, in a league contest.
