The Northgate Vikings (Newnan, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Temple Tigers (Temple, GA), 60-52 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Vikings (5-11) will now prepare for their test against McIntosh (Peachtree City, GA). The Chiefs go into the AAAAA Region 2 test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, McIntosh notched a victory over Griffin (Griffin, GA), 51-36, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Callaway for a AA Region 5 test on Tuesday, January 11. Temple will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 72-45 non-league win over Greenville (Greenville, GA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 8-4.
