In Saturday's non-league outing, the Herscher Tigers (Herscher, IL) basketball squad beat the visiting Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL), by a count of 40-27.

The Tigers (15-4) will now prepare for their outing against Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL). The Comets go into the Illinois Central 8 outing with a 8-12 record. In their last outing, Reed-Custer defeated Streator (Streator, IL), 35-10, in a league outing.
