The River Ridge Royal Knights topped the visiting Mitchell Mustangs basketball team by a final score of 52-38 in Saturday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Royal Knights face the Gulf Buccaneers (New Port Richey, FL) in a 5A District 6 game, on Tuesday, January 11. River Ridge will attempt to move on its 9-8 season record. The Buccaneers enter the game with a 11-5 record after their 56-47 league win over Fivay (Hudson, FL).

With the defeat, Mitchell moves to 3-11 on the year. The Mustangs host East Lake (Tarpon Springs, FL) to face the Eagles in a non-league game on Monday, January 10.
