Michigan High School Basketball - Mason County Eastern can't hold off Hesperia
January 8, 2024: Custer, MI 49405 The Hesperia Panthers basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Mason County Eastern Cardinals to 44 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Monday.
The Panthers now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ravenna for a Western Michigan Lakes - Rivers contest on Thursday, January 11. Hesperia will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 44-41 league win over Mason County Central (Scottville, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-4.
The Cardinals (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Catholic Central (Manistee, MI). The Sabers enter the West Michigan D contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Catholic Central was nudged by Calvary Christian (Fruitport, MI), 66-25, in a non-league contest.
