January 8, 2024: Phoenix, AZ 85029 The Moon Valley Rockets (Phoenix, AZ) basketball beat the visiting Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ), 57-42 in Monday's non-league outing.
The Rockets (2-5) will now prepare for their outing against Greenway (Phoenix, AZ). The Demons go into the 4A Skyline outing with a 3-8 record. In their last outing, Greenway was topped by Poston Butte (San Tan Valley, AZ), 49-13, in a non-league outing.
The Colts now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they host Vista Grande for a 4A Black Canyon outing on Wednesday, January 10. Cortez will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 54-27 non-league loss to Liberty (Peoria, AZ). The Spartans record now stands at 7-10.
