Wisconsin High School Basketball - Mayville tops Messmer
January 8, 2024: Mayville, WI 53050 Mayville Cardinals (Mayville, WI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Messmer Bishops (Milwaukee, WI), 62-46 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Mayville upgrades its record to 2-10 on the campaign. The Cardinals host St. Mary's Springs (Fond du Lac, WI) to play the Ledgers in a Flyway bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Ledgers come into the bout with a record of 6-6. St. Mary's Springs lost 44-41 in their recent league bout against Lomira (Lomira, WI)
Next up, the Bishops play the Living Word Lutheran Timberwolves (Jackson, WI) in a Midwest Classic bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Messmer will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Timberwolves come into the bout with a 11-0 record after their 60-36 league win over Catholic Central (Burlington, WI).
