The Miami Country Day Spartans basketball team scored 83 points and limited the host Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks to 70 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Spartans now possess a 14-2 record. They play next when they travel to Coral Gables for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14.

With the loss, Archbishop McCarthy falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Cardinal Newman (West Palm Beach, FL) to confront the Crusaders in a non-league game on Friday, January 10. The Crusaders go into the game with a record of 7-8. Cardinal Newman lost 58-55 in their recent non-league game against Vero Beach (Vero Beach, FL)
