The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ) and the visiting Queen Creek Bulldogs (Queen Creek, AZ), observed Red Mountain's basketball squad gain a win over Queen Creek by a final score of 72-55.

Next, the Mountain Lions clash with the Dobson Mustangs (Mesa, AZ) in a 6A East Valley test, on Friday, January 10. Red Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Mustangs come into the test with a 6-7 record after their 59-35 non-league loss to Pinnacle (Phoenix, AZ).

The Bulldogs (9-5) will now prepare for their test against Higley (Gilbert, AZ). The Knights come into the 6A Fiesta test with a 9-3 record. In their last test, Higley overcame Desert Vista (Phoenix, AZ), 71-57, in a non-league test.
