New York High School Basketball - Berne-Knox-Westerlo triumphant over Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons
January 8, 2025: Berne, NY 12023 The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs (Berne, NY) and the visiting Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Golden Knights (Schenectady, NY), observed Berne-Knox-Westerlo's basketball team overwhelm Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons by a score of 82-24.
The Bulldogs (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Northville (Northville, NY). The Falcons come into the Section 2 Western challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, Northville trounced Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville (St. Johnsville, NY), 42-38, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Golden Knights encounter the Schoharie Storm (Schoharie, NY) in a Section 2 Western challenge, on Friday, January 10. Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Storm come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 46-39 league loss to Duanesburg (Delanson, NY).
