California High School Basketball - Reedley can't hold off Chowchilla
January 8, 2025: Chowchilla, CA 93610 Chowchilla Tribe (Chowchilla, CA) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Reedley Pirates (Reedley, CA), 34-33 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Chowchilla advances its record to 9-6 on the year. The Tribe travel to Sierra (Tollhouse, CA) to face the Chieftains in a Northwest Sequoia match on Tuesday, January 14. The Chieftains enter the match with a record of 11-6. Sierra won 49-39 in their recent non-league match against Justin Garza (Fresno, CA)
The Pirates now own a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Selma for a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. Reedley will face a Bears squad coming off a 45-33 non-league win over Madera (Madera, CA). The Bears record now stands at 6-4.
