The Classical Purple were victorious over the host East Providence Townies basketball squad by a final score of 60-52 in Thursday's league outing.

Coming up next, the Purple confront the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) in a Division I game, on Saturday, January 10. Classical will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Sentinels go into the game with a 0-4 record after their 67-44 league loss to Barrington (Barrington, RI).

With the loss, East Providence falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Townies travel to Westerly (Westerly, RI) to confront the Bulldogs in a Division I game on Saturday, January 10. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 7-2. Westerly won 73-60 in their recent league outing against Johnston (Johnston, RI)
