The Lions now possess a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blue Mountain for a 1A Region 3 battle on Tuesday, January 10. Byers will confront a Cougars team coming off a 49-40 non-league loss to Pine Grove (Ripley, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 8-6.
The Wolves (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against North Delta (Batesville, MS). The Green Wave come into the MAIS 4A District 1 battle with a 0-1 record.
