Connecticut High School Basketball - Crosby overwhelms Derby
January 9, 2023: Waterbury, CT 06705 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Crosby Bulldogs (Waterbury, CT) and the visiting Derby Red Raiders (Derby, CT), saw Crosby's basketball squad wallop Derby by a tally of 94-44.
With the victory, Crosby improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host New London (New London, CT) to confront the Whalers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Whalers come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. New London won 77-54 in their recent league challenge against Griswold (Griswold, CT)
Next up, the Red Raiders confront the East Granby Crusaders (East Granby, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Derby will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 66-63 league loss to Rockville (Vernon, CT).
