Virginia High School Basketball - James Monroe crushes Brooke Point
January 9, 2023: Fredericksburg, VA 22401 James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Brooke Point Black Hawks (Stafford, VA), 54-31 in a non-league bout.
With the win, James Monroe upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Yellow Jackets travel to Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA) to clash with the Knights in a Battlefield bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 1-9. Spotsylvania lost 59-21 in their recent league bout against Eastern View (Culpeper, VA)
Next up, the Black Hawks clash with the Mountain View Wildcats (Stafford, VA) in a Commonwealth bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Brooke Point will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 47-40 league loss to Colonial Forge (Stafford, VA).
