Pennsylvania High School Basketball - North Catholic overwhelms Valley
January 9, 2023: Cranberry Township, PA 16066 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the North Catholic Trojans (Cranberry Township, PA) and the visiting Valley Vikings (New Kensington, PA), saw North Catholic's basketball squad wallop Valley by a tally of 74-27.
With the victory, North Catholic improves its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Trojans host Freeport (Freeport, PA) to confront the Yellowjackets in a WPIAL 4A 1 challenge on Monday, January 23. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 5-9.
Next up, the Vikings confront the Knoch Knights (Saxonburg, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 1 challenge, on Thursday, January 12. Valley will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 46-41 league win over Greensburg Salem (Greensburg, PA).
