The Saegertown Panthers basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Union City Bears to 41 in the Panthers league victory on Monday.

With the victory, Saegertown upgrades its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Maplewood (Guys Mills, PA) to play the Tigers in a District 10 Region 2 bout on Thursday, January 12. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 9-3. Maplewood won 52-9 in their recent league bout against Rocky Grove (Franklin, PA)

Next up, the Bears play the Girard Yellowjackets (Girard, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Union City will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a 1-9 record after their 45-19 league loss to Northwestern (Albion, PA).
