New York High School Basketball - Beacon fells Washingtonville
January 9, 2023: Beacon, NY 12508 Beacon Bulldogs (Beacon, NY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Washingtonville Wizards (Washingtonville, NY), 31-17 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Beacon upgrades its record to 1-6 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Chester (Chester, NY) to clash with the Hambletonians in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Hambletonians go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Chester won 45-19 in their recent non-league bout against Goshen Central (Goshen, NY)
Next up, the Wizards clash with the Pine Bush Bushmen (Pine Bush, NY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Washingtonville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Bushmen go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 24-20 non-league loss to Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY).
