January 9, 2023: Courtland, VA 23837 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Southampton Academy Raiders (Courtland, VA) and the visiting Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators (Chesapeake, VA), saw Southampton Academy's basketball squad wallop Greenbrier Christian Academy by a tally of 64-42.
With the victory, Southampton Academy improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Halifax Academy (Roanoke Rapids, NC) to confront the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 11. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 3-6. Halifax Academy lost 55-43 in their recent league challenge against Rocky Mount Academy (Rocky Mount, NC)
Next up, the Gators confront the Broadwater Academy Vikings (Exmore, VA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Greenbrier Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 53-41 league loss to Portsmouth Christian (Portsmouth, VA).
