January 9, 2024: Fennville, MI 49408 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Black River Rats (Holland, MI) and the host Fennville Blackhawks (Fennville, MI), saw Black River's basketball squad hold off Fennville by a count of 62-55.
With the victory, Black River upgrades its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Rats travel to Gobles (Gobles, MI) to play the Tigers in a Southwestern - Central challenge on Friday, January 12. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 3-6. Gobles won 44-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Lawrence (Lawrence, MI)
Next up, the Blackhawks play the Michigan Lutheran Titans (St. Joseph, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 15. Fennville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 65-32 league win over Countryside Academy (Benton Harbor, MI).
