Arizona High School Basketball - Chaparral holds off Campo Verde
January 9, 2024: Scottsdale, AZ 85253 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ) and the visiting Campo Verde Coyotes (Gilbert, AZ), saw Chaparral's basketball squad hold off Campo Verde by a tally of 45-43.
With the victory, Chaparral improves its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Firebirds host Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ) to confront the Wolves in a 5A Northeast Valley challenge on Friday, January 12. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 13-4. Desert Mountain won 90-83 in their recent non-league challenge against Higley (Gilbert, AZ)
Next up, the Coyotes confront the Cactus Shadows Falcons (Cave Creek, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 11. Campo Verde will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 90-48 non-league win over Fairfax (Laveen, AZ).
