Massachusetts High School Basketball - North Middlesex Regional nips Dracut
January 9, 2024: Townsend, MA 01469 North Middlesex Regional Patriots (Townsend, MA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Dracut Middies (Dracut, MA), 56-51 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, North Middlesex Regional upgrades its record to 1-6 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Groton-Dunstable (Groton, MA) to play the Crusaders in a Midland-Wachusett B bout on Friday, January 12. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 1-6. Groton-Dunstable won 53-46 in their recent league bout against Marlborough (Marlborough, MA)
Next up, the Middies play the Billerica Memorial Indians (Billerica, MA) in a Merrimack Valley - Small bout, on Friday, January 12. Dracut will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 71-44 non-league loss to Central Catholic (Lawrence, MA).
