Ohio High School Basketball - Lakewood nips Highland
January 9, 2024: Hebron, OH 43025 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Lakewood Lancers (Hebron, OH) and the visiting Highland Fighting Scots (Marengo, OH), saw Lakewood's basketball squad hold off Highland by a count of 35-32.
With the victory, Lakewood upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Utica (Utica, OH) to play the Redskins in a Licking County - Cardinal challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Redskins come into the challenge with a record of 2-7. Utica lost 62-41 in their recent league challenge against Licking Valley (Newark, OH)
Next up, the Fighting Scots play the Ontario Warriors (Mansfield, OH) in a Mid-Ohio - Red challenge, on Friday, January 12. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 72-52 league loss to Marion Harding (Marion, OH).
