Tennessee High School Basketball - Sevier County crushes Lenoir City
January 9, 2024: Lenoir City, TN 37771 Sevier County Smoky Bears (Sevierville, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Lenoir City Panthers (Lenoir City, TN), 71-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Sevier County upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Smoky Bears host Morristown-Hamblen West (Morristown, TN) to play the Trojans in a 4A District 2 bout on Friday, January 12. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 9-7. Morristown-Hamblen West won 62-53 in their recent non-league bout against Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, TN)
Next up, the Panthers play the Sequoyah Chiefs (Madisonville, TN) in a 3A District 5 bout, on Saturday, January 13. Lenoir City will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Chiefs go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 53-48 league loss to Heritage (Maryville, TN).
