January 9, 2024: Albany, LA 70711 The Albany Hornets (Albany, LA) basketball crushed the visiting Holden Rockets (Holden, LA), 60-14 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Hornets (15-5) will now prepare for their test against Amite (Amite, LA). The Warriors go into the 3A District 7 test with a 18-4 record. In their last test, Amite walloped Pine (Franklinton, LA), 62-51, in a league test.
The Rockets now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they host Springfield for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 16. Holden will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 42-40 non-league win over French Settlement (French Settlement, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-8.
