Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Falkner Eagles (Falkner, MS) and the visiting Ashland Blue Devils (Ashland, MS), saw Falkner's basketball squad knock off Ashland by a tally of 53-43.

With the victory, Falkner improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Pine Grove (Ripley, MS) to play the Panthers in a 1A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 8-8.
