Utah High School Basketball - Wasatch can't hold off Corner Canyon

January 9, 2024: Heber City, UT 84032

The Corner Canyon Chargers basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the host Wasatch Wasps to 53 in the Chargers non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Chargers now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Riverton for a 6A Region 2 contest on Thursday, January 11. Corner Canyon will battle a Silverwolves team coming off a 56-53 non-league loss to Fremont (Plain City, UT). The Silverwolves record now stands at 3-9.

The Wasps (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Cedar Valley (Eagle Mountain, UT). The Aviators come into the 5A Region 7 contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Cedar Valley edged Maple Mountain (Spanish Fork, UT), 57-45, in a league contest.
