Iowa High School Basketball - Alburnett fells Mid-Prairie
January 9, 2025: Alburnett, IA 52202 The Alburnett Pirates basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks to 44 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Pirates now have a 8-2 record. They play next when they host Calamus-Wheatland for a Tri-Rivers game on Friday, January 10. Alburnett will confront a Warriors team coming off a 79-43 league win over Midland (Wyoming, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-6.
With the loss, Mid-Prairie falls to 9-1 on the campaign. The Golden hawks travel to Central City (Central City, IA) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league game on Friday, January 10. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 3-8. Central City won 64-55 in their recent league game against Starmont (Arlington, IA)
