The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Orlando Science Orcas (Orlando, FL) and the host Brevard HEAT Firehawks (Palm Bay, FL), observed Orlando Science's basketball team overcome Brevard HEAT by a score of 61-44.

The Orcas (4-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Real Life Christian Academy (Clermont, FL). The Raptors come into the Sunshine State - North challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Real Life Christian Academy defeated Innovation Montessori (Ocoee, FL), 73-12, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Firehawks battle the Florida Prep Falcons (Melbourne, FL) in a 1A District 8 challenge, on Monday, January 13. Brevard HEAT will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record.
