The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Sanford Mustangs (Sanford, CO) and the visiting Custer County Bobcats (Westcliffe, CO), observed Sanford's basketball team knock off Custer County by a score of 60-49.

The Mustangs (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM). The Lobos come into the non-league challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, Escalante prevailed over Dulce (Dulce, NM), 50-40, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Evangel Christian Academy Eagles (Colorado Springs, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 10.
